Gently extending my feet in the evening sunlight, I hear the sunset, telling me what was unfamiliar is not unfamiliar anymore but what was familiar is unfamiliar now.
A black dance

Soaked were the wind and moisture into the earth.
Young as the leaves were,
Having fed me, hanging on me with misery,
Down was I drown into Hades by gravity.
They annihilate me for another life.
The green Renaissance fell into yellowness.
The migratory say goodbye for the next encounter.
But there is no next for me.
Only into the air do I leave my black dance.
I love the beauty of formativeness of them/ especially when I see them through the air. The combination of the beauty and the wind/ created a movement, and it came across in my mind as a dance. This is why I titled this project, ‘a black dance into the air’.
I love those rough, simple, with unique formative lines, growing in the field/ because they are not like those rich, luxurious and trimmed-like/ as if/ fed in a flower shop. It seems to me: that/ those withering plants are dying for another life, having more stories than the others. And the shapes that they form into the air always infatuate me.

“a Black Dance in the Air,” Ewon Moon’s solo exhibition planned by Gallery Dos will be held for a week. This show consists of three inevitable sections: sketches, videos and main works, all of which are indivisible requisites to understand how the show has been planned. The essence of the withering annual plants easily to be passed by, through the careful gaze of the artist, is exteriorized with colorful materials for the margin and a monochromatic color for the main images, which would invite you to a conceptual shift. Please come and grace the occasion.
